Beaches in Puerto Plata

Puerto Plata is the most popular tourist destination in the Dominican Republic.  But, why?  The beaches, of course.  There are at least half a dozen worth mentioning in this port town, and tourists generally spend their days split between their resort, the restaurants, and the beaches.

Beach Choices In The Area

You will discover a handful of beaches to consider visiting in the area. To get additional information about a single beach you can click on the names of the ones you are curious about.

Dorada Beach

If you are looking for a place to snorkel, a beach worth considering is Playa Costambar. The beach is located right off a main road in town and has plenty of parking.

Another alternative worth considering is Dorada Beach. This beach is located just east of Puerto Plata.
