Isabel de Torres National Park

Isabel de Torres National Park is a nature preserve located 3.8 mi. South of central Puerto Plata. This popular attraction in Puerto Plata is normally just visited for the Cristo Redentor located at the top. However, the whole area surrounding the statue is a national park tasked with preserving the natural significance of the region.

Waterfalls

Twenty-Seven Waterfalls of Damajagua

Although most tourists have heard about the beautiful water and coastline, that isn't the only way to enjoy the area's natural wonders. The one example is Twenty-Seven Waterfalls of Damajagua. It is located 10.1 mi. West-Southwest of central Puerto Plata. <p>These waterfalls are less a natural experience as much an extreme attraction. Gear up in a life jacket and helmet and climb, jump, and swim in these large collection of pools and falls.</p>
