Isabel de Torres National Park

Isabel de Torres National Park is a nature preserve located 3.8 mi. South of central Puerto Plata. Visitors to the site will find a variety of ways to explore the area. The two most popular are simply hiking through the forest and mountains, and taking a cable car up the mountain right to the statue.

Twenty-Seven Waterfalls of Damajagua

Although most visitors are drawn by the region's beaches, that isn't the only way to experience the area's natural beauty. The one example is Twenty-Seven Waterfalls of Damajagua. It is located 10.1 mi. West-Southwest of central Puerto Plata. These waterfalls are less a natural experience as much an extreme attraction. Gear up in a life jacket and helmet and climb, jump, and swim in these large collection of pools and falls.
