Cerro de Punta

The highest point in Puerto Rico reaches 4,390 feet above sea level and is called Cerro de Punta. It is located in Ponce, and differs from most highest peaks in the Caribbean because it is strictly a mountain and not volcanic in origin.

The most beautiful view in the island is said to be seen from the top of Cerro de punta, where on a clear day, you can see as far as San Juan which is 75 miles away.


Situated on the island of Puerto Rico, 11.4 miles north of Ponce, Cerro de Punta welcomes visitors who are lodging on this part of the island. Regardless of whether or not you are staying in the vicinity, you should think about stopping by to check out the sights. Utuado is ten miles (16 kilometers) to the northwest.
