The course is in a truly beautiful area, and a few holes offer some great views of the Atlantic. Every hole is very well-bunkered with silica sand, and one of the sixteen man-made lakes will play a factor on nearly every hole. When combined with it's sister golf course. there are four diverse nines- Mountain, Ocean, Lakes and Palms- so there is always a fun and exciting new challenge available.
The course layout, holes, and surprise challenges were created by Tom Kite, the lead architect of the course. The golf course features a course rating of 68.4, and its 18 holes stretch out a length of 5659 yards.
The course sits on 1,000 gorgeous acres in the foothills of the El Yunque Rainforest. The fairways are generally very wide, except for a pair of holes that are bordered by water on both sides, which causes problems for golfers who aren't the most accurate off the tee. The course is extremely well-manicured, and easily one of the more scenic golfing spots around.
