Guajataca Beach

Between Isabela and Quebradillas on Puerto Rico's north coast is Guajataca Beach. This beach, though beautiful and inviting, is not for swimming. The waters are too rough and the wicked undertow can be dangerous. Instead, surfing is a favored pastime here, as is beach combing. Additionally, the fresh waters of the Guajataca River flow into the ocean here at Guajataca Beach, and kayakers can usually be found paddling through these waters.

Set on the island of Puerto Rico, You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. This beach is not just beautiful, it also has a private beach feel——a unique quailty in a touristy place like Puerto Rico. While Guajataca Beach may be a little more difficult to reach, it's the best place to take an undisturbed nap on the sand.

How to Access The Beach
