Playa Colora

Although this beach has rough currents and signs posted by the DRNA that states that swimming prohibited, it is still a great out-of-the-way locale to enjoy some beautiful scenery on the shore.

Set in the vicinity of Fajardo, Playa Colora is on the North East coast of Puerto Rico. You might want to drop by whether or not you are staying particularly close by. Even though you won't find a bustling urban center here, guests frequently find this a destination worthwhile as a way to escape the crowds.

How to Access The Beach
Head left from Seven Seas Beach where you will find a path at a crop of rocks. At low tide you can walk along the shore where you will eventually reach the beach, but during high tide you'll have to wade through the magroves and take the trail to the right. This is where signs start to pop up and will guide you the rest of the way.

Amenities and Ambiance

Large black rocks flank the beach which helps to keep it protected from sight and some of the reason so few people know about. The view from the orange and tan shore is of the Fajardo Lighthouse.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.
