Easily reached and away from the crowds, Playa La Playa is a beach of convenience. Without the clear tropical water easily accessed elsewhere on the island, the beach is mainly left to locals and boaters using the on-site boat ramp.
Located on the island of Puerto Rico, 3.4 miles west of Anasco, You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you're staying nearby. Playa La Playa has fast become the favorite of many vacationers; it has a somewhat urban and convenient setting, but is never really too crowded. If you're not fond of the atmosphere and empty, quiet beaches, but also want to be able to claim a spot without any trouble, this beach is right in the middle.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.
If you tend to favor beach days that grant a serene haven, then maybe head on over to Playa La Playa; it is hidden away in a more rural part of Puerto Rico.
The beach is wonderful, but the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too. Look for it on the West coast of Puerto Rico. It is near Holiday Inn Mayaguez Casino, which is found four miles to the southeast, and it is one of a few attractions close-by.
Historical attractions likeoffer a nice compliment to the scenery of Playa La Playa, and allow visitors to learn more about Puerto Rico, without having to venture too far from the coast. Actually, this shore is just a brief cab ride away from this destination of historical interest.

Playa La Playa is in the Rincón area, so travelers staying in town won't have far to go. Rincón is nearby and is noted for its balance between seclusion and urbanization. From Playa La Playa, Rincón is a little ways off, maybe five miles (eight and a half kilometers) away.
How many other people you encounter at Playa La Playa will depend on how many hotel guests decide to make the trip as well. The beach is not located close to many large hotels, but it's often visited by visitors staying at the few small lodgings in the area.

One of the best ways to round off a laid-back trek to the beach is to eat at a local restaurant, where you'll be able to dive into Puerto Rico's specialty dishes, within just a few miles of this shoreline. One of the nearest places to eat is Brasas Restaurant. This restaurant offers both Caribbean and Fusion menu items. They have become well-known, however, because of their seafood. You'll have the option of walking or taking a cab since it's only a short distance away.
