Located in a small little community surrounded by a protected forest, Punta Pozuelo Beach is a great location for any fan of nature or quiet. Beach visitors can walk the coast and take a look at the old town here, as well as the wild mangroves that claim the area opposite the beach.
Set toward the center of the island of Puerto Rico, Punta Pozuelo is on the South East coast of the island, You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying very close. Those of you who might prefer a beach that's a little less crowded, but still fun and active, may want to give Punta Pozuelo a try. It's just slightly removed from the center of it all, but it's not dead and empty either.
While there is not much sand between where the beach starts and where the water starts, Punta Pozuelo is very long, and those up for it can walk as far as they want. The further south along the beach you go, the more and more natural it gets, with houses and roads turning into trees and small lagoons.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.
If you find that you like shores that offer visitors a relaxing place to escape, then you may want to try Punta Pozuelo; it's hidden away in a much quieter section of the region.
Beachgoers will find Punta Pozuelo on the South East coast of Puerto Rico; the area hosts attractions such as Aguirre Golf Club, which is pretty close, so tourists could take a cab or probably walk to this attraction.
Historic attractions, including, offer a nice compliment to a soothing day at Punta Pozuelo, and provide beachgoers with the opportunity to learn about Puerto Rico's past, without straying too far from the coastline. Actually, this coastline is located 28 miles from this historical destination.

The nearest section in Puerto Rico to Punta Pozuelo is. This location is only six and a half miles away, meaning it doesn't have to be a terribly lengthy excursion. Keep in mind that Guayama is a vibrant area.
Whether this spot is full of bodies or practically empty will be influenced by everything from the time of day to the capacity of nearby hotels.
You won't find any of Puerto Rico's popular hotels lining this beach, though if you're looking to dodge hoards of travelers, the shortage of places to stay will be welcomed.
There aren't any restaurants surrounding this beach, so you may choose to plan a picnic for your time spent at the beach.
Needless to say, there are other beaches in Puerto Rico besides Punta Pozuelo worth visiting.
Another location you may want to try is Playita Machete, which is located five and a half miles to the east.
Puerto Rico has plenty to offer its visitors, and paying a visit to Punta Pozuelo is just one way you can spend your afternoon.
