San Cristobol Canyon

Named as one of the Top 10 Natural Wonders of Puerto Rico, San Cristobal Canyon is the only canyon on the island.

The San Cristobol Canyon is nine kilometers long and features several cliffs with carvings that look like human faces.

Location

San Cristobol Canyon is situated near the heart of the island of Puerto Rico; it's 9.8 miles to the west-northwest of Cayey.

To reach San Cristobal Canyon from San Juan, take Highway 52 south. Exit at Cayey and continue on road Number 1 south bound towards Salinas. Take a right onto Panoramic Rout 7722, and at the first intersection in La Sierra take a left towards La Piedra Degetau. Make a right towards town at the first stop sign, then drive until you reach Aibonito. From there, take Road 14 and make a right onto the 162. Follow the signs.
