Vacia Talega is located on Puerto Rico's north coast, just 15 minutes from Piñones. Despite being located in a relatively secluded area, you'll often find that there are several other groups of visitors making a day of it at this lovely beach.
Set on the eastern coast of the island of Puerto Rico, You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying nearby. There are plenty of advantages to visiting a beach that's a long way from the nearest major city; less popular beaches like Vacia Talega Beach might not be typical "beach scenes", but are nice and private.
You can access Vacia Talega directly from PR 187. Simply exit the coastal highway and park in the sand.
Vacia Talegs's tan colored shore scoops out a side of the coast which promotes calm waters. The beach is backed by brush, coastal highway, and rows if vehicles which are often parked in the sand.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline.
Vacia Talega Beach offers a calm and relaxing environment, especially since the location that surrounds the beach is far from urbanized.
Set on the East coast of Puerto Rico; this area boasts other attractions such as Berwind Country Club, which is five and a half miles away.
To some, museums and beaches may seem an odd combination, but plenty of visitors find that museums like(one of the closest to Vacia Talega Beach) offer an entertaining diversion and a whole new side of Puerto Rico's history.

Vacia Talega Beach is near Loiza, so touring the city could be a fun side-trip after visiting the beach. Not far away you'll find Loiza, a city which is not an overly urbanized area, but still has its fair share of things to do.
The crowdedness of the shoreline can vary widely, depending on when you visit, and how many of the nearby hotel rooms have been booked. There are not many major hotels nearby, but it can attract guests from smaller accommodations in the area.

Although you'll be hard-pressed to find many dining options nearby, you can still satisfy your hunger, particularly if you're prepared to drive a bit. The closest places to grab a bite to eat is Fern, which is a delicious choice during or after a day at the beach.

Of course, there are lots of other spots along the coast of Puerto Rico, and Vacia Talega Beach is just one option.
You might also enjoy Carolina Beach, found within cab range of the beach. However, if that's not exactly what you're looking for, Torrecilla Pinones Beach offers a few more possibilities for excitement, and is closer to nearby attractions. It's found two and a half miles to the west.
Another location you may want to try is Coco Beach, located seven miles away.
While the area offers plenty of picturesque views and exciting attractions, a trip to Vacia Talega Beach could end up a family favorite.
