Rincon Beach

With such a variety of beaches and surf conditions, Rincon is perfect for just about everything. Swim and snorkel in the calm shallow waters, or gather sea shells along the shore. Surfing is a popular activity in the Atlantic, as it has been ever since the World Surfing Championships in 1968.

Rincon Public Beach is set near the center of town, making it an easy go-to beach for locals and tourists alike. It's abundance of amenities including picnic areas, public restrooms, and the coveted free parking only make it that much more of a draw.

This beach is very popular and even over crowded on the weekend, especially during surf season which runs from November to March, but if you can get there during the work week, you will find a more peaceful and relaxing environment.

Situated in the northwestern outskirts of Rincón, Rincon Beach is on the West edge of Puerto Rico. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. Many of the beaches in Puerto Rico are quiet and secluded, but Rincon Beach is a little different. You'll still find it has a calm, serene mood, but you can visit without sacrificing a fun and social atmosphere.

How to Access The Beach
To access Rincon Beach, follow PR 413 along the west coast, exiting at Black Eagle Road. Continue down the road until it turns into Black Eagle Marina as you pass Taino Divers and Shipwreck Bar & Grill to the left. At the end of the road, rugged parking spots have been carved into the sand, where you can leave your vehicle and walk through a break in a row of palm trees where you will find the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Near Rincon, the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea meet. Here on the far western end of Puerto Rico, you'll find six beaches, with calm waters on the Caribbean side and bigger surf on the Atlantic side. Ricon Public Beach is located close to the Mona Passage, where migrating whales can sometimes be seen.

What most visitor's notice about Rincon Beach is when it isn't bustling with local surfers, it is a quiet, intimate locale with calm waters perfect for snorkeling, and soft sands holding treasures that lend itself to a great beach combing spot.

There is also a concession stand available. If available, you could also buy some food from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.

This beach has public restrooms——something you'll appreciate if you spend more than a couple of hours here. Fortunately, the water here is fit for snorkeling, so grab some gear if you're looking to see some exciting marine life. Rincaan Beaches attract a wide variety of visitors, from families to surfing enthusiasts. The beaches, in general, are not exceptionally crowded.

Even so, you will want to remember that even if there are options for conveniences for you to enjoy if you go to Rincon Beach, it can be located within a relatively urbanized region. If you would rather stay free of busy-beaches and crowded shores, it is an appropriate cause to plan ahead and beat the crowds, like coming for a breakfast picnic and cool swim. If you wait around, you could risk all the amenities becoming already claimed by other guests.
