With such a variety of beaches and surf conditions, Rincon is perfect for just about everything. Swim and snorkel in the calm shallow waters, or gather sea shells along the shore. Surfing is a popular activity in the Atlantic, as it has been ever since the World Surfing Championships in 1968.
Rincon Public Beach is set near the center of town, making it an easy go-to beach for locals and tourists alike. It's abundance of amenities including picnic areas, public restrooms, and the coveted free parking only make it that much more of a draw.
This beach is very popular and even over crowded on the weekend, especially during surf season which runs from November to March, but if you can get there during the work week, you will find a more peaceful and relaxing environment.
Located on the northwestern outskirts of Rincón, Rincon Beach is on the West edge of Puerto Rico. You should consider stopping by even if you are not staying in the vicinity. Located in a bustling area, Rincon Beach is a solid option for those hoping to find various interesting activities and sites.
To access Rincon Beach, follow PR 413 along the west coast, exiting at Black Eagle Road. Continue down the road until it turns into Black Eagle Marina as you pass Taino Divers and Shipwreck Bar & Grill to the left. At the end of the road, rugged parking spots have been carved into the sand, where you can leave your vehicle and walk through a break in a row of palm trees where you will find the beach.
Near Rincon, the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea meet. Here on the far western end of Puerto Rico, you'll find six beaches, with calm waters on the Caribbean side and bigger surf on the Atlantic side. Ricon Public Beach is located close to the Mona Passage, where migrating whales can sometimes be seen. What most visitor's notice about Rincon Beach is when it isn't bustling with local surfers, it is a quiet, intimate locale with calm waters perfect for snorkeling, and soft sands holding treasures that lend itself to a great beach combing spot.
The concession stand on-site could come in handy, even if you plan to have lunch elsewhere. If available, you could also buy food from one of the mobile vendors who typically set up at this spot.
You won't have to worry about finding a bathroom at Rincon Beach because there are public restrooms. The water in the area is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring along some gear if you want to check out what lies beneath the surface. Rincaan Beaches attract a wide variety of visitors, from families to surfing enthusiasts. The beaches, in general, are not exceptionally crowded.
Still, make sure you see that even if there are definitely options for amenities present at Rincon Beach, it will be located within an active, busy area. Because of this, if you know that these amenities are an important factor, it is an appropriate idea to make it in the morning before most of the crowds or perhaps try a beach in a more remote area. If you arrive later, you may run the risk of all of the services being too crowded for you to use.
This beach is positioned on the West coast of Puerto Rico; it's located near attractions like Oceano Sea Glass, which is one of the closest attractions.
If you're interested in mixing a cultural experience with your visit to the beach, you should plan a trip to Maritime Museum, a lovely museum found only a brief walk or taxi ride away, and might make a nice break from the midday sun.

Rincon Beach is near Aguadilla, so touring the city could be a fun side-trip after visiting the beach. Aguadilla is the closest city and is in an area with plenty of worthwhile sites, while still remaining less developed and congested as some other places. From the coast, Aguadilla is a little ways off, maybe nine and a half miles (15 kilometers) away.
How many other people you encounter at Rincon Beach will vary depending on the time of day, particularly in the high season when hotels overflow with tourists. You can generally expect to encounter a fair number of other guests who are staying close by.
