Tres Palmas Beach

With waves that can reach up to 25 feet during the winter months, Tres Palmas Beach is known as one of the best snorkeling beaches in the Caribbean. During late spring and through the summer, however, the rough waves die down and visitors find it a great spot for swimming.

Positioned toward the northwestern outskirts of Rincón, Tres Palmas Beach is on the West coast of Puerto Rico. You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you're staying nearby.

Amenities and Ambiance

Thanks to the rough surf that the shores are battered by during at least half of the year, Tres Palmas Beach has a rugged looking coastline, but the view remains a beautiful one. The sand right along the shore can be green at times from algae, but further back it is tan, almost dark orange in hue. The waters themselves are usually a deeper blue, but come around mid-April they are so clear, and often flat enough for snorkeling.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business.

Be mindful that the area surrounding Tres Palmas Beach is highly urbanized, so make sure to get a spot!
