The Riviera Maya stretches along the Caribbean coast from Puerto Morelos to Tulum.  As you might imagine, there are dozens upon dozens of beaches in this region, each with a uniqueness to it that makes visitors say "That's the beach for me."

Which Beaches Are Available?

You will find a large selection of beaches to choose from in the area. Regardless of whether you prefer being around other people, or you prefer a quieter stretch of sand, you should find some appealing options. For a detailed guide to a single beach just click on the names of the ones you are interested in.

Playa Tulum

Maroma Beach: A quiet beach worlds away from the busy shores of Cancun, Maroma Beach is typified by 500 acres of white sand and rainforested lands.

Another place for beach-goers to consider is El Faro. El Faro Beach is a part of a much larger stretch of sand along the coast in Playa del Carmen. With several hotel properties set right on the beach, you can always expect this spot to be busy.

Playa Tulum: Tulum translated from the Maya language means wall. The structure stands are three walls, and opens onto the Caribbean, leaving the sea as its final enclosure.
