Positioned in the Riviera Maya, Playa Secreto is on the East coast of Mexico. You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying nearby. This beach is not just another beautiful natural attraction, it's one of the rare "quiet" beaches in Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean. While Playa Secreto may be a little more difficult to reach, it permits unparalleled relaxation opportunities.

How to Access The Beach

Playa Secreto is located 20 minutes from the Cancun Airport, off Carretera Federal 307.

Amenities and Ambiance

One of the most gorgeous beaches located along the Maya Riviera, Playa Secreto features sultry soft sands and dazzling blue ocean waters. This spot, called "Secret Beach" in Spanish, is home to numerous colorful and exotic bird species that thrive in the beach's freshwater pools and mangrove trees. Also found along this magnificant ocean front is a small private community comprised of about a dozen upscale homes.

Many visitors find themselves ordering a drink or snack from the concessions here, even if they move off-site for lunch. You might also have the option to get lunch from one of the mobile vendors who are typically found at this location.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. The atmosphere of the Playa Secreto beach is one of seclusion and natural tranquility, which is ideal for vacationers who want a little peace and quiet on their trip to the beach.

Playa Secreto provides an idyllic and relaxing retreat, in part because the area surrounding the beach is positioned apart from more urban areas.
