J.R. O'Neal Botanic Gardens

Named for the first known conservationist in the British Islands, the J.R. O'Neal Botanical Garden was established in 1986. A bit of nature amidst one of the most developed parts of Road Town, this spot is a welcome place of seclusion and serenity that honors the natural side of the islands.

As you enter the J.R. O'Neal Botanic Gardens you walk through a row a royal palms to a beautiful fountain. From there you can take several paths and view the flourishing fauna throughout the 4.5 acre property.

Guests who tour the J.R. O'Neal Botanical Gardens get a chance to view a few different natural environments that exist throughout the islands. Exhibits include coastal environments, the rainforest, and dry forest. A pond where lilies float is one of the most relaxing spots on site, and there is also a gazebo of orchids.

Located 0.5 mi. northwest of downtown Road Town, J.R. O'Neal Botanic Gardens welcomes residents and guests who are rooming in or near this town. Whether or not you're staying in the vicinity, you should think about stopping by to check out the sights.
