Located at Port Purcell, accessible via Road Town Harbour is the. This spot serves as one of two ports of entry for yachting sailing to Tortola; the other is located in . Although primarily used for local ferry companies, cruise ship tenders are known to use the facility. This is where you can pull in to gain official entry into the British Virgin Islands. Customs and Immigrations are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but they close at 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays and official holidays; however if you make arrangements in advance they may meet you at off hours. If not, you'll have to sail offshore with your yellow "Q" flag flying until an official is available. Then, you and everyone aboard will be required to present a passport in addition to the boat's paperwork. It will cost somewhere between $25 and $35(USD) per person per day to clear customs.
