Located toward the northwestern outskirts of Rodney Bay, this beach is on the North coast of Saint Lucia. You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you are staying very close. Rodney Bay is the kind of shore where tourists head for a lively outing, and there is plenty of beach action to keep them busy - it definitely isn't a quiet, private place to take a nap.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is about 15 minutes north of Castries and can be accessed off the Castries - Gros Islet Hwy. As you get into the town of Rodney Bay, take a right around the Bay Walk Shopping Mall which will put you on a road running parallel to the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

A yachtsman's haven, Rodney Bay is a man made lagoon that hosts an array of shops, hotels, and restaurants geared towards tourists. The beaches are beautiful but get crowded with tourists and vendors. There are huts and umbrellas offering shade, but you may need to be a guest at one of the hotels to use them.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. Sometimes, visitors will be able to order some food from one of the local vendors who are generally found here.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. Many tourists spend their time at Rodney Bay, a crowded area that offers guests every amenity for their journey, including beautiful beaches.
