The Lime

Starting with the “lime special” drink, The Lime boasts an assortment of the tastiest meals available on the island. The restaurant specializes in local dishes like spicy jerk chicken or pork and breadfruit salad and char-grilled steak and fresh-caught fish which attract locals and visitors alike. Other specialties include grilled lobster, and fish steak Creole, shrimp, steaks, lamb and pork chops, and rotis (Caribbean burritos).

The Lime is a popular bistro that happens to specialize in Caribbean cuisine. As far as the style of dining and food goes, the setting is very casual. When's the best time to come? They're open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, allowing you and your group to sample their cuisine at almost any meal.

Ambiance

Other than the low prices and delicious food, it is the lively ambience that makes The Lime a wonderful place. The lime-green gingham curtains, straw hats that deck the ceiling and dainty hanging plants make The Lime a casual bistro where everyone enjoys “liming” (an island term that means something akin to hanging around and relaxing).

The Lime can be found in the western outskirts of Rodney Bay, in the general vicinity of Gros Islet.

With a small selection of things to do and see just a short distance away from the restaurant, this can be a worthwhile neighborhood to see. The attraction that's most accessible to The Lime is Megaplex 8, which can be found just a short distance away.

Active travelers often gravitate toward a full selection of outdoorsy activities nearby. Those ready to take to the greens can host a relaxing or serious round at the neighborhood golf club, St. Lucia Golf and Country Club, which can be found not too far from The Lime. Or perhaps you'd rather spend time at Rodney Bay, which is the most convenient beach and is only a quarter mile away. Keep in mind these two options aren't the only golf courses and beaches in the vicinity.

For diners in the mood for another place to eat that has similar kinds of food and/or a comparable price range, there are lots of nearby dining spots to choose between, including The Red Snapper. It is located a couple hundred yards from The Lime.

Then of course, if you want something a little different, this region of Saint Lucia features a large selection of food and drink venues that will be sure to satisfy all kinds of diners. For example, you could also try International cuisine at Mariners Restaurant & Bar, which is situated right on the water.
