Golfer magazine has called Cinnamon Hill Golf Course one of the best in the world, and the diversity throughout the course is likely the reason why. The signature hole is the par-4 seventh, which will have you aiming for a narrow seaside green. Beauty meets challenge on other holes as well, and the changing elevations, shifting scenery, and the variety of vegetation will appeal to golfers of all kinds of tastes. A caddie can prove tremendously helpful on courses with as much variety as this one.

Course Description

This course has become an established location to tee off, founded in 1970. The lay of the land, hole placement, and bunkers are all part of the design by Robert von Hagge, the architect of Cinnamon Hill Course. It features a course rating of 70.2, and its 18 holes measure out to 6380 yards. Also be aware that they've got a pro, Robert Ames, on hand ready to help novices work on their swing or provide more advanced instruction for seasoned golfers.

The course runs right up to the coast, and a couple of greens literally drop off into the sea. The majority of holes, however, are in the thick woods covered with pine trees just inland. You'll be golfing at sea level at times, then a few holes later at 350 feet. The elevation changes play a big part and make for an interesting and challenging round of golf.
