Positioned in downtown Roseau, Botanical Beach is on the South edge of Dominica. You should consider dropping by whether or not you are staying in the vicinity. Social beachgoers might like this beach because of its urban location. In fact, Botanical Beach is a favorite of hotel guests in the area, and people who like to be in the center of the action.
It is no trouble to find your way here. It's the western edge of the capitol and Victoria St. runs the length of the beach.
With a thin strip of gray sand and calm waters, this is a pleasant spot to step out of the urban surroundings and enjoy a picnic or a sunset walk, though it's not a popular swimming or water sport beach.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.
Since Botanical Beach happens to be found inside a tourist hotspot, many try to show up early.

Visitors looking for a beach that's right for them will have lots of choices besides Botanical Beach.
If the active mood at Botanical Beach has you wanting more of the same, think about heading to Champagne, another destination with a good amount of excitement. You'll find it three and a half miles to the south. The shores of Champagne Beach may be rocky, but its seas are calm and full of amazing marine life just waiting for you to explore. However, if you're looking to enjoy a quieter scene, Woodbridge Bay Beach is an area which doesn't host as many visitors. It is located just a short distance away.
You might also want to visit Mahaut South Beach, located not a great distance away, meaning a quick cab ride can take you where you want to go.
Of course, there are lots of other things to do and see on Dominica; then again, Botanical Beach is both a refreshing place to relax, and a beautiful natural attraction.
