Roseau Ferries

At the current time traveler's will have to head to Roseau in order to take a ferry to another island in the French Caribbean

Having recently undergone a major renovation, the ferry terminal in Roseau had hoped to make space for even more ferries to operate here.

Riding the Ferries

Although there is a wharf and viable ferry terminal in Portsmouth, the only option currently avaliable is located in Roseau; at the Roseau Ferry Terminal.

In addition, the number of ferry sevices coming in and out of Dominica has dwindled down to one: L'Express des Iles. Ferries are available aboard these high speed catamarans for $100(USD) for adults, $50(USD) for children under two, $90(USD) for children between three and 12 as well as students, and $95(USD) for those under 26 and over 60. They sail on a near daily basis to other French islands in the area including Martinique, Guadeloupe, and St. Lucia. Call L'Express des Iles directly at 767-448-2181 for the schedule during the time when you'll be visiting Dominica.

Roseau Ferry Terminal is the one dock for which we have detailed info. You can find it in the northeastern part of Roseau.

Please keep in mind that the ferry schedules on Dominica can be a little dynamic, so you will definitely want to call ahead and make sure that the route you want is still regular.
