Once a U.S. Military Beach, Annie's Bay is now a popular beach spot, featuring a small, sandy beach. Visitors receive a panoramic view of the water, complete with dramatic rock formations to the left and an extended coast line to the right. The water is shallow and calm, providing an excellent spot for swimming.
Situated on St. David's Island, You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Those searching for a somewhat calm, but somewhat social beach on Bermuda may really like a visit to Annie's Bay. It's not one of the beaches that's always brimming with visitors, but it's not totally devoid of people either.
Visitors can access the beach via Cooper's Island Road by foot or car. A car park is located shortly off of Cooper's Island Road.
Annie Bay features calm, clear waters and a hills that enclose the area. Light beach vegetation adds to the atmosphere, while the soft sand feels great to walk on.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.
Found on the East coast of Bermuda; it will be near other attractions like St. Davids Lighthouse, which is a half mile away.
To some, beaches and museums may seem an odd combination, but plenty of visitors find that museums like Carter House (located one and an eighth miles away) offer rare insight into Caribbean life and a whole new perspective of Bermuda.

Annie's Bay is very close to, so a trip into the city——for snacks, drinks, and other attractions——is a convenient option. Annie's Bay visitors seeking further attractions might consider heading over to St. George, which is nearby and is a particularly busy area of Bermuda. From the coast, St. George is not far away, roughly a mile and a half (three kilometers).
Whether or not you encounter a lot of other visitors will depend on if you visit during a popular season, which is often indicated by how busy the hotels are. Annie's Bay is not near very many major hotels, but it can attract guests from smaller accommodations in the area.
If you're feeling hungry for a midday meal, this beach has you covered, and you don't have to go far from these sands. One of the nearest places to eat is Blackhorse Tavern. This restaurant has both Caribbean and International cuisines. Visitors often rave about their seafood. You could take a cab or probably walk to this restaurant as it's not far off the beach at all.

There are multiple beaches to discover on Bermuda, of course, and Annie's Bay is just one option.
Another location you might enjoy is Alexandras Beach, found only a short distance away. But, if you're interested in a more active beach, Clearwater Beach may be just what you're looking for. You'll find it a half mile to the south west.
Another location you may want to try is St. Catherine's Beach, another great Bermuda beach site. St. Catherines's Beach, formerly known as Club Med Beach is one of Bermuda's little pieces of paradise. This oceanfront location is public, so anyone can visit.
Maybe Annie's Bay is a perfect spot for you to kick back, and at the same time perhaps not the the ideal fit; in which case you should find a beach with a seclusion factor that suits you.
