Long Bay is located on St. David's Island and features a long stretch of sandy beach largely free of tourists. The shallow water of the bay makes for excellent swimming and snorkeling and features a panoramic view of the island's tropical vegetation and small rock formations.

Located on St. David's Island, near Castle Harbour, You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you're staying in the immediate vicinity. Not looking forward to staking out a spot at a busy beach? All the more reason you should find a beach that isn't packed full of hotel guests; less popular beaches like Long Bay Beach might not be typical "beach scenes", but are nice and private.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is accessible from Cooper's Island Road. With the island's narrow roads, it's encouraged that visitors visit via scooters or bicycles rather than by car.

Amenities and Ambiance

The area is located southeast of the more popular Clearwater Beach and Cooper's Island Nature Reserve. The beach is composed of soft, tan sand and offers shallow, clear water, excellent for swimming or snorkeling. The beach is surrounded by light vegetation and rocks, giving the area a private feel.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

Long Bay Beach provides an idyllic and serene retreat, as the area surrounding the beach contains little build-up and is free of urbanization.
