Long Bay is located on St. David's Island and features a long stretch of sandy beach largely free of tourists. The shallow water of the bay makes for excellent swimming and snorkeling and features a panoramic view of the island's tropical vegetation and small rock formations.

Located on St. David's Island, near Castle Harbour, You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Long Bay Beach stands out because it's the ideal location for escaping the typical tourist haunts. Many of the other beaches you'll come across on Bermuda may be just as pretty, but are usually busier because they're right around the corner from the area's major hotels and resorts.

How to Access The Beach

The beach is accessible from Cooper's Island Road. With the island's narrow roads, it's encouraged that visitors visit via scooters or bicycles rather than by car.

Amenities and Ambiance

The area is located southeast of the more popular Clearwater Beach and Cooper's Island Nature Reserve. The beach is composed of soft, tan sand and offers shallow, clear water, excellent for swimming or snorkeling. The beach is surrounded by light vegetation and rocks, giving the area a private feel.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.

If you happen to desire shores that offer visitors an idyllic enclave, then you will want to try Long Bay Beach; it is back in a less urbanized sector of Bermuda.
