Featuring a picturesque waterfront and a verdant, hilly interior, Saint George's is the largest city on the island of Grenada.  Much of the architecture is colonial era, and sightseeing is a popular activity that if you do right, it shouldn't take more than a day to explore the city.  This leaves the rest of your vacation open to participate in the many other activities this mostly quiet town has to offer. 

Shopping is a favored activity, and Saturdays at Market Square are treasured.  Saturday is also when the local “hashing” group meets up to walk and run a local trail for a few hours before treating themselves to rum and conversation.  Tourists are welcome to join in the fun.  There are a few water-based activities you won't want to miss out on either, like sailing and fishing, but especially snorkeling and scuba diving thanks to this being the location of the world's only underwater sculpture garden.  And there is plenty more to keep you busy as well, whether you fancy a leisurely ride on the Discover Train or look forward to a massage at a local spa.

Bikes are not a common of a sight in St. George's. While it is possible to explore the city via a bike or scooter rental, it is not a popular way to do so.
