Beaches in San Pedro

The beautiful white sand shores of San Pedro can be decieving.  Although pleasurable for a day of relaxing in the sun, the waters have a tendency to be thick with sea grass, and visibility is low.  Additionally, piers are often so close to one another that things can begin to feel crowded.

Ambergris Caye Southeast

Ambergris Caye Southeast: The Ambergris Caye's beaches are relatively small even at low tide, making the area difficult to recommend for swimming. Still, in 2014 Fodors ranked it as one of the top 15 beaches in the Caribbean.

A second place to consider is Debbie's Beach. Finding Debbie' sBeach is not too hard, as there is only one main road on the Ambergris Cay. Taking the road north out of San Pedro, the road is located a little after Ak'bol Yoga Retreat and should be the third right after that.
