Beaches in San Pedro

The beautiful white sand shores of San Pedro can be decieving.  Although pleasurable for a day of relaxing in the sun, the waters have a tendency to be thick with sea grass, and visibility is low.  Additionally, piers are often so close to one another that things can begin to feel crowded.

Pick Your Ideal Beach

There are a small variety of beaches to visit in and around the area. Click on the name of each beach to read a detailed article concerning that part of the coast.

Ambergris Caye Southeast

Ambergris Caye Southeast: Transportation to the island requires travel by air or water. Water taxis travel from Belize City, while flights from the International airport takes around 15 minutes.

A second place for beach-goers to consider is Debbie's Beach. While it is located on Ambergris Bay, a popular tourism spot, Debbie's Beach is far enough away from the main areas that it is less crowded. While this means you will not be hunting down free space, it also means you should not be expected any amenities.

The table directly below lists a few details concerning the beaches found in and around the area.
