Since much of San Pedro is compact, most of your traveling can be done by foot. However, when you need to cover a little extra distance, the taxis in the area can prove to be quite useful.
Taxis here blend in with the small number of other cars on the island because they are just regular vehicles with little to know markings that make them stand out. You can tell for sure that your driver is licensed by checking for a green license plate. Rates here are not set in advanced, nor are the taxis metered, so make sure to discuss the price with your driver before the car is in gear.
You can take a look at this chart to help you reach a taxi company if you are in need of transportation.

There are a few taxis driving around San Pedro, many of which are just waiting to pick up passengers from the airport and take them to their accommodations. If you aren't arriving or departing from the airport, finding a taxi may be a bit trickier. You can have the concierge call a taxi to pick you up, or even call yourself.
Because San Pedro is quite small, you can expect taxi fares to be just as small. When traveling within town, you should expect the fare to stay around $4 (USD). Of course, the further you go, the higher the fare goes. Even so, you should not expect to pay more than $15 wherever you are going in San Pedro.
