Casa De Tostado

A collaboration of families across the Dominican Republic, the Casa de Tostado houses a collection of painting, artifacts, and relics from throughout the history of the nation. The house itself is the former home of Francisco de Tostado, who was the first native born professor to teach in the nation.


The house offers guests a perspective in life throughout the history of the Dominican Republic, from the early Spanish Colonization to the modern nation-state. The pieces of art and many artifacts shows the cultural history of the people.
