Built around 1550, this nearly five century old house is one of the most intact historical building in Santo Domingo. Casa del Tapao is famous for one mysterious resident who would only come out at night with a concealed face. The stories have worked their way into local legends that vary from person to person.
Despite the house's history and relatively large size, it is modest; nothing more than a simple square structure.
