Catholics and history buffs alike will want to come to the Catedral Primada de America, also known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria la Menor. This flagship cathedral was the first in the new world, consecrated by Pope Julius II in 1504. Additionally, at the request of the King of Spain (also Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire), Pope Paul III made the cathedral the Primate of the Americas.

The cathedral is open daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
There is no fee to explore the cathedral, though if you stay for mass it is customary to tithe.
