The Cultural Center of Spain in Santo Domingo (CCESD), is a cultural space hosting creative cooperation between Spain and the Dominican Republic. This is the place to experience the local art scene in many genres.


The center screens local films, hosts music events, art exhibits, and theater programs. Visitors can participate in this creative scene by attending a workshop, usually meant for all ages. An example workshop is the photography and printing workshop, featuring cyanotype techniques.


The center is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Their library opens Monday through Friday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Saturday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
