Located on the South Coast of the Dominican Republic, Guibia Beach is a popular surfing beach on the island. In fact, it was one of the first places that modern surfing was introduced to the islands. Though it was once a popular beach amongst swimmers as well, some of the local resorts have directed their attention to other beaches, making this a beach of seclusion for vacationers who want to escape the crowds.
Positioned in downtown Santo Domingo, in the heart of Santo Domingo, Guibia Beach is on the South East edge of the Dominican Republic. You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you're staying in the immediate vicinity. Active couples and families who can't get enough outdoor activities, people-watching, and waterside vendors may never want to leave Guibia Beach.
