Guibia Beach

Located on the South Coast of the Dominican Republic, Guibia Beach is a popular surfing beach on the island. In fact, it was one of the first places that modern surfing was introduced to the islands. Though it was once a popular beach amongst swimmers as well, some of the local resorts have directed their attention to other beaches, making this a beach of seclusion for vacationers who want to escape the crowds.

Located in downtown Santo Domingo, in the heart of Santo Domingo, Guibia Beach is on the South East edge of the Dominican Republic. While Guibia Beach is not the most secluded beach in the Dominican Republic, it offers just enough privacy to appeal to couples and families alike.

Set on a tan colored stretch of sand with dark blue green waters, Guibia Beach is located in the busy Santo Domingo. The tree is lined with trees to protect it from the major road that runs right behind it, and surrounded by beach side buildings.

Guibia Beach isn't the only beach worth checking out in the Dominican Republic.

You may also want to try Playa los Ninos, which is in a pretty active location. It is located 19 and a half miles to the south west. If you're looking for a more secluded beach experience, you might find what you want at Montesinos Beach. It is located not far off the beach at all.

Another option worth considering is Playa los Cuadritos, located within the range of a taxi.
