Built early in the 1500's, the Palacio Consistorial has been rebuilt many times throughout its history. The original version was the town hall of Santo Domingo, while today it services as an art and cultural center.

Visitors to the Palacio Consistorial can explore the grand building and view the many exhibits it has on display inside. In addition though, the site is also a popular place to simply sit around on one of the many benches.
