Located on the east coast of the island and a short distance from the capital city of Philipsburg, Geneve Bay features a small, secluded beach area. Black sand makes the area less ideal for sunbathing, but the beautiful isolation and exciting waves from the Atlantic give the area an exciting atmosphere.
Positioned near the middle of Sint Maarten, 3.4 miles south-southwest of Caye Chateau, Geneve Bay is on the South East edge of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. You should consider dropping by whether or not you are staying in the vicinity. Perhaps Geneve Bay is a favorite among travelers because it's a beach that is not terribly crowded, even though its not far from some of St. Martin's best hotspots.
Access to the beach is limited to hikers, who should take a vehicle to Trinton Shell Road.
Comprised of black sand and surrounding by seagrapes and hills, the beach at Geneve Bay is not targeted toward typical beachgoers. Rather, the rugged atmosphere is suited for hikers and adventurers. Similarly, the rougher waters make the water ideal for surfing.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.
Since Geneve Bay is located within an active, busy area, many try to show up early.
Found on St. Martin's South East coast; this area boasts other attractions such as Diamond Casino, which is one of the most conveniently accessible attractions.
