The area isn't suited for swimming, due to the more aggressive waves, but does offer an opportunity for an incredible view of the Caribbean Sea.
Located in the heart of Sint Maarten, 1.8 miles south of Caye Chateau, Red Pond Bay is on the North East coast of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. You should consider dropping by even if you are not staying nearby. Red Pond Bay is one beach that is not terribly crowded, but it's not empty and secluded either.
Due to the location of the beach, which requires a descent down rocky hills, only those physically able should make the attempt. Drivers should take March Clam Road until it ends, where they can park and begin their descent.
The beach is primarily composed of rough sand, with large rocks dotting the area. The beach will likely be uninhabited, as the area is home to mainly private homes.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.
