Rhino Safari Excursion

Sign up and join in on this exciting tour as you are given control of your own two-person watercraft for yourself and a guest. You will captain this personal ship as part of a tour around the island that will have you swimming, snorkeling, and exploring the natural side of Saint Martin.

Offerings and Cost

On the boat, you travel from the lagoon and along the coast of the French side of the island, passing numerous beaches, bays and fishing villages. You'll then arrive at Creole Rock where you will spend some time snorkeling and enjoying a complimentary drink, before turning back to base.

Their trip to Happy Bay offers beach time on white sand once you travel there on your own Rhino Rider. The trip takes you through Simpson Bay Lagoon for some beautiful sights, including some mega yachts that belong to the rich and famous. Beach time will be about 40 minutes, perfect for snorkeling or lounging under a palm tree.

In order to get your own personal tour guide, it is an extra $150. Extra boating hours cost $75 each.

What to Expect

There are 45 different water crafts in the fleet consisting of Rhino Riders and Scoobi-Rays. The Rhino Rider is a 10 foot inflatable boat with a 25 HP outboard engine that seats two. The Scoobi-Rays are 12 foot inflatable boats, that can seat up to three, and are powered by 40 HP outboard engines and 30 HP engines.

Hours and Policies

Morning check in is at 10 a.m. and departure is at 10:30 a.m. Afternoon check in is at 1 p.m. and departure is at 1:30 p.m.

Drivers must be over the age of 18, though anyone over the age of five can ride. This trip is not recommended for women who are pregnant or persons with back problems.

Rhino Safari Excursion is situated within the southwestern part of Cole Bay, a village in the vicinity of Marigot; it is 1.0 mile to the southeast of Simpson Bay.

The Rhino Base is located about 25 minutes by taxi from the cruise ship terminal, and cab fare generally costs about $15(USD). If you're driving, the base is located on Welfare Road in Simpson Bay at the east end of the lagoon across from the movie theater.
