The great thing about dining here is that they have a menu specifically dedicated to "Pub Grub" which features old favorites like fish and chips, sausage and mash, and nachos. But there is also a full menu of regular breakfast and dinner offerings, so you have your pick of a host of international dishes such as the popular shepard's pie, calamari, and combo platters. They offer huge portions at fair prices and have a happy hour from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. daily.

Britannia Pub is a popular pub that happens to specialize in British cuisine. Most guests consider the level of formality and service here to be very casual. This location is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, allowing you and your group to sample their cuisine at almost any meal.


If you want into Britannia expecting a pub-like atmosphere you'll be disappointed. The set-up and decor of this spot is more island-style bar with patio dining than it is cozy, richly decorated pub -- but the restaurant remains clean and inviting, so you shouldn't be too upset.


Britannia Pub is located just outside the heart of Sosua, a town in the vicinity of Puerto Plata; it is 11 miles (18 kilometers) to the east of Puerto Plata.

There will be a number of attractions within a short distance of the restaurant, helping vacationers to try something new every afternoon. Two of the closest visitor favorites from this establishment include Museo De La Comunidad Judía De Sosúa and Jewish Museum of Sosua, both of which are just a quick trip away.

Besides the cuisine, something else to try in this neighborhood is Alicia Beach, a nearby beach, where you might nod off after a good meal or a long day.
