A quiet beach in the north of Soufriere Town, it is visited mainly by locals. Boaters also enjoy Soufriere as there are a number of spots for boat anchorage. There's a good chance you'll also see local fishermen trying their luck, both from boats and from the shore.
Located in the outer region of Soufrière, a few hundred yards northwest of the downtown area, Soufriere Beach is on the South West coast of Saint Lucia. You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying in the immediate vicinity. Eventually, visitors notice that beaches throughout St. Lucia tend to be fairly quiet and secluded, but Soufriere Beach is decidedly different.
Soufriere is on the southwest coast of the island and can be reached from the main mountainous coastal roads. The nicest part of the beach is on the northern part of town, in between the Hummingbird Beach Resort and the town cemetery.
The sand is of a fairly dark color, but the main draw here is spectacular view of some of the world-famous pitons. Located within a quaint, pleasant town, you'll find this idyllic spot perfect for walking or simple relaxation. Nestled inside the fairly deep Soufriere Bay, the water is calm and deep blue. The interior is lush and the landscape dramatic. It is for these reasons and more that Fodors named it one of the top 15 beaches in the Caribbean in 2014.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.

Needless to say, there are other beaches on Saint Lucia besides Soufriere Beach worth visiting.
Another location you might enjoy is Roseau Bay, where there's usually lots of activity. You'll find it seven miles to the north. Marigot Beach offers the perfect pitstop for boatsmen, as well as for vacationers who want to experience this amazing beach. However, if you're looking to enjoy a quieter scene, Jalouise is a beach which doesn't host as many visitors. It is located just a short distance away.
Another sun-drenched spot to consider is Anse Chastanet, which is located one and a quarter miles to the west-northwest. You wont be able to resist the charming allure of the Anse Chastanet beach.
You may find that Soufriere Beach is a great fit for your vacation, but maybe you want to see more; in which case there are other beaches (and other outdoor attractions) worth trying.
