Heywoods Beach boasts calm, turquoise waters and immaculate golden sand perfect for swimming and snorkeling. A nearby reef makes the area excellent for exploration, as well as an ideal spot for those looking for smaller pools to wade in.

Located in the northern outskirts of Speightstown, Heywoods Beach is on the North West edge of Barbados. You should consider dropping by whether or not you're staying very close. Peace and quiet is what you'll find at the majority of Barbados' beaches, but the ambiance at Heywoods Beach is one of both seclusion and activity; this means you can relax without having to travel too far from the buzz of the city.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is accessible to both pedestrians and vehicles. Drivers should follow the Highway 1B and take a side road in between Port St. Charles Marina and Almond Beach Village.

Amenities and Ambiance

Tropical trees surround Heywoods Beach, while the shallow reef makes for excellent snorkeling. The southern end of the beach is thins out, though it still features small pools to wade in. The beach is uniquely situated between a marina and golf course, both of which provide excellent dining options.
