Mullins Beach, located on the west coast on the island, features calm turquoise waters and white sand. The beach is popular with locals and vacationers alike, offering roped off swim areas and palm trees for shade. Nearby restaurants, a beach bar, and a large car park provide easy access and an easy way to spend an afternoon.

Set in Mullins, Mullins Beach is on the North West edge of Barbados. You should consider dropping by whether or not you are staying in the immediate vicinity. Travelers who find secluded beaches too calm and inactive won't have trouble fitting in at Mullins Beach.

How to Access The Beach

Mullins Beach is an easily accessible beach with a large parking area across the street. Signage on Highway 1B directs drivers and pedestrians to the main beach area.

Amenities and Ambiance

Mullins Beach offers the calm waters of Mullins Bay, perfect for swimming and watersports. Palm trees populate the area, providing excellent shade, while the soft, white sand allows for visitors to comfortable navigate the beach area.

Many visitors find themselves ordering a drink or snack from the concessions here, even if they move off-site for lunch. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to purchase food from one of the local vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.

Mullins Beach does have public restrooms for your convenience. Fortunately, showers are provided, so you don't have to go back to your hotel sandy. You'll also find chairs and umbrellas here, so visitors seeking a place to relax in the shade will get their wish. The water here is of good snorkeling quality, so purchase or rent some equipment if you're wanting to check out the underwater sites. Mullins Bay is a popular spot that appeals to everyone. Travelers of all ages can be found here.

Mullins Beach plus its available comforts are of course located well within a relatively urbanized region. With this in mind, if you're sure that these amenities influence your decision, it'll likely be an appropriate motivator to show up in the morning before most of the crowds or perhaps go to a different beach further away. If you do not, you may risk all of the services becoming overcrowded.
