Each beach on St. Croix seems to have a personality all its own, from the northside beaches which feature great snorkeling shallows, to the east end beaches which are rarely crowded if somewhat difficult to access.  Whether you're interested in participating in water sports or just splashing around in the surf, there is a beach for you on this gorgeous island.

Beach Choices In The Area

You'll find several beaches to consider on the island. Snorkeling is available at some locations, if some of the people in your group enjoy this relaxing pastime. Just click on the name of the beach for a detailed article concerning that beach.

Mermaid Beach

Grotto Beach: One of the beaches set on the Buccaneer Resort's property, Grotto Beach features not only the sandy surf, but a pool, a grill, and three holes of the golf course. Buccaneer guests enjoy the possible watersports available here.

Another alternative to consider is Mermaid Beach. Mermaid Beach set on the property of Buccaneer Resort and features blindingly white sands, shady coconut trees, and turquoise waters. Some areas of the beach are a bit rocky, while others are padded in seagrass, but no matter where you go, the water remains pretty calm.

Chenay Bay Beach: Chenay Bay Beach is a one mils stretch of sand that Chenay Bay Beach Resort calls its own. Guests of the resort have access to all of the amenities set on the beach, making it an extra perk for staying at the hotel, but in truth, it is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
