How to Access The Beach
The beach can be accessed by car via the local road (named, simply, "Prosperity"), which branches off of route 78. Guests should keep a look out for Carambola Beach Resort, which lines the beach. Though the resort supplies the hammocks and maintains the area, the beach itself is open to the public.

On the northern side of St. Croix lies Davis Bay, a true Caribbean beach, with impeccable white sands and good waves for swimming. Although it is a little windy on the northern coast and there is no snorkeling here, bodysurfers come out in large numbers to ride the rocky waves. The landscape surrounding the area is beautiful and features incredible green hills and majestic palm trees.

Davis Bay is very close to Frederiksted, so a trip into the city is a definite option. The closest town is Frederiksted, which is not an overly urbanized area, but still has its fair share of things to do. From the coast, Frederiksted is a quick trip away, roughly five miles (eight kilometers).

Davis Bay isn't the only beach worth checking out on St. Croix.

You may also want to try Cane Bay Beach, where there's usually lots of activity. It is located a mile and a half to the east-northeast. Perhaps Davis Bay is the most convenient coastline for you to visit, but some travelers itch to explore more; in which case you should find a beach with a seclusion factor that suits you.
