Davis Bay

Davis Bay, located on the northwestern coast of St. Croix, features a long stretch of soft white sands and complimentary hammocks and beach chairs from the nearby resort. This beautiful beach that is good for families, as it invites guests to play in the exciting waters at Davis Bay.

Set in the North Shore, 1.6 miles west-southwest of Cane Bay, Davis Bay is on the West coast of St. Croix. You might think about stopping by regardless of whether you're staying nearby. The beaches found throughout the Virgin Islands tend to be pretty quiet, but at Davis Bay your experience will be different.

How to Access The Beach

The beach can be accessed by car via the local road (named, simply, "Prosperity"), which branches off of route 78. Guests should keep a look out for Carambola Beach Resort, which lines the beach. Though the resort supplies the hammocks and maintains the area, the beach itself is open to the public.

Amenities and Ambiance

On the northern side of St. Croix lies Davis Bay, a true Caribbean beach, with impeccable white sands and good waves for swimming. Although it is a little windy on the northern coast and there is no snorkeling here, bodysurfers come out in large numbers to ride the rocky waves. The landscape surrounding the area is beautiful and features incredible green hills and majestic palm trees.

The concession stand on-site could come in handy, even if you plan to have lunch elsewhere. You may also have the option to get lunch from one of the local vendors who set up shop at the beach.

You will be able to use a public restroom at Davis Bay. In addition, there are lounge chairs available at this beach. You'll find the waters off-shore to be clear enough for snorkeling, so grab some gear if you are looking to do some underwater exploration. With a resort along the shore, the crowd at the beach consists mainly of tourists, and this area is especially popular with families and spirited swimmers.

If the exciting vibe at Davis Bay is one of the features you love, think about heading to Cane Bay Beach, another location where you'll find fun and action. You'll find it a mile and a half to the east-northeast. Cane Bay Beach on St. Croix, offers a tranquil beach environment to guests, where the Cane Bay Wall, a coral dropoff, provides excellent snorkeling and scuba diving in a relatively unpopulated area.

Travelers may also want to consider La Grange, located four and a half miles to the south west. La Grange beach, off of St. Croix, is a good beach where swimmers and snorkelers enjoy the sparkling blue waters, and beach loungers love the soft sands and complemetary chairs.

Of course, the Virgin Islands has hundreds of natural wonders to discover, but Davis Bay is both a refreshing place to relax, and a beautiful natural attraction.
