One of the beaches set on the Buccaneer Resort's property, Grotto Beach features not only the sandy surf, but a pool, a grill, and three holes of the golf course. Buccaneer guests enjoy the possible watersports available here.
Located on the island of St. Croix, 1.4 miles east-northeast of downtown Christiansted, Grotto Beach is on the East-Northeast coast of the island, You should consider dropping by whether or not you are staying particularly close by. The Virgin Islands' beaches are pretty busy for the most part, but Grotto Beach is less exposed than the others, making it just the right spot for vacationers who'd like a less hectic scene, but one that's not completely empty.
Grotto Beach is set just to the west of Buccaneer Resort, which is located at 5007 Estate Shoys in Christiansted. Although there is no fee to step foot on the beach, you will have to pay for parking.
Crescent shaped and magnificently well-kept the Grotto is partially rocky and just long enough for a nice stroll. The Buccaneer offers beach chairs and kayaks for guests.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.
Since Grotto Beach is of course found in a commonly visited area, many try to show up early.
This beach is positioned on the East-Northeast coast of St. Croix. Buccaneer Golf Course is close enough that guests will have the choice to walk or take a cab, and it is one of the favorite destinations in the area.
To some, beaches and museums may seem an odd combination, but plenty of visitors find that museums like Steeple Building (positioned only a brief walk or taxi ride away) offer a fun learning experience and help share a different side of the Virgin Islands.
