Reef Beach

Reef Beach, located on St. Croix, features soft sand, palm trees, and a beautiful view of the clear sea. Sit on the beach amid stunning views and watch the windsurfers dance along the waters, or spend some time in the colorful beach bar and restaurant, where you'll find spectacular local fare.

Set in East End, in the same area as Cotton Valley, Reef Beach is on the East coast of St. Croix. You should consider stopping by whether or not you are staying very close. Vacationers who want their beach to have a little bit of everything——a hint of seclusion, with a somewhat social scene—— may really like a visit to Reef Beach. It's a little bit removed from the Virgin Islands' urban areas, but it also doesn't completely lack a social atmosphere.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is easily accessible off of Route 82. Drivers should look out for the local Mooring Road, which offers a small car park.

Amenities and Ambiance

At Teague Bay on the eastern coast of St. Croix you'll find Reef Beach, whose waves are popular with the windsurfing crowd. White sands and crystal blue waters create a tranquil and serene environment for guests. Palm trees dot the island, while yachts and sail boats drift through the water.

Also, you have the option of trying the restaurant located right on Reef Beach. The Virgin Islands has plenty of fantastic eateries around town, but not every meal you enjoy has to be at a fine restaurant. Some vacationers simply sit on their towels——not in a restaurant——to enjoy lunch. Did you know that some hotels are happy to pack picnic lunches for their guests? Otherwise, you could easily grab some of the Virgin Islands' famous street food along the way.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. You might also have the option to order lunch from one of the local vendors who are generally found here.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. The water in the area is clear and good for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you've been hoping to get in some underwater exploration. The beaches on the east end of the island, including Reef Beach, are harder to get to but significantly less crowded. Here, the majority of the crowd comes out to windsurf.
