Sprat Hall Beach

Sprat Hall Beach, located on St. Croix, is a mile-long beach area perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Beyond a few local, private residencies, the area is undeveloped, which adds to the amazing ambiance given by the Caribbean Sea. Easy access from Route 63 makes this beach an excellent choice for those that want quiet, but don't want to struggle to get there.

Situated in the North Shore, Sprat Hall Beach is on the West coast of St. Croix. You should think about stopping by even if you are not staying very close. Even if you love being in the middle of all the action, there are some perks to visiting a beach that's a long way from the nearest major city; beautiful but out-of-the-way beaches like Sprat Hall Beach might not be typical "beach scenes", but are nice and private.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is accessible directly off of Route 63. While there is no official car park, guests with four wheel drive can easily get on the beach, while those without can find a place a bit more inland.

Amenities and Ambiance

Sprat Hall Beach is located on the west coast of St. Croix and is comprised of a mile-long strip of white, sandy beaches. Bordered by lush green vegetation, the view, island-side, is one of privacy. Looking out toward the Caribbean Sea, guests are treated to clear waters and calm waves. Shallow waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. Happily, the off-shore waters are clear and good for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you're hoping to see what lies beneath the surface.

If you find that you favor beach days which offer a serene place to escape, then a good choice for you is Sprat Hall Beach; it's back in a much quieter section of St. Croix.

You might also want to visit La Grange, which is located three miles to the south. La Grange beach, off of St. Croix, is a good beach where swimmers and snorkelers enjoy the sparkling blue waters, and beach loungers love the soft sands and complemetary chairs.

Of course, there are lots of other things to do and see in the Virgin Islands; then again, Sprat Hall Beach is both a refreshing place to relax, and a beautiful natural attraction.
