Sprat Hall Beach

Sprat Hall Beach, located on St. Croix, is a mile-long beach area perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Beyond a few local, private residencies, the area is undeveloped, which adds to the amazing ambiance given by the Caribbean Sea. Easy access from Route 63 makes this beach an excellent choice for those that want quiet, but don't want to struggle to get there.

Located in the North Shore, Sprat Hall Beach is on the West coast of St. Croix. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. There are advantages to visiting a beach that isn't overly lined with restaurants and beach bars; less popular beaches like Sprat Hall Beach are usually more relaxing than those overrun with fellow travelers.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is accessible directly off of Route 63. While there is no official car park, guests with four wheel drive can easily get on the beach, while those without can find a place a bit more inland.

Amenities and Ambiance

Sprat Hall Beach is located on the west coast of St. Croix and is comprised of a mile-long strip of white, sandy beaches. Bordered by lush green vegetation, the view, island-side, is one of privacy. Looking out toward the Caribbean Sea, guests are treated to clear waters and calm waves. Shallow waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. The water here is of good snorkeling quality, so bring along some equipment if you want to see the underwater world.

Sprat Hall Beach offers visitors an angelic and relaxing getaway, since the region surrounding the beach is positioned apart from more urban areas.

If you like the ambiance at this beach, you might also like Davis Bay, situated a brief car or taxi trip away. With a gorgeous beach, Davis Bay is a fine swimming spot on the northern side of St. Croix, and although it can get a bit windy, families and bodysurfers gravitate to this area to play in the waters. However, if that's not exactly what you're looking for, Rainbow Beach offers a little more opportunity for excitement, and is closer to other popular destinations. It's located two miles to the south.

You might also want to visit La Grange, which is located three miles away. La Grange beach, off of St. Croix, is a good beach where swimmers and snorkelers enjoy the sparkling blue waters, and beach loungers love the soft sands and complemetary chairs.

You may find that Sprat Hall Beach is a great fit for your vacation, but maybe you want to see more; if so, the Virgin Islands offers a variety of beaches for travelers who wish to try elsewhere.
