Activities and Recreation at Buccaneer

Designed by Bob Joyce in 1973, the Buccaneer Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 70 on 5,668 yards of greenery and beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea. The course is challenging, but playable. Guests can also enjoy watercolor classes at the Great House Terrace, where the views serve as inspiration.

The spa at the Buccaneer offers an array of services, from deep tissue massage to Mango Madness pedicures. Guests can go down to the Hideaway Spa for treatment, or opt for an in-room massage. You will enjoy the treatments at the Hideaway Spa and Salon so much that you will want to come back again and again!

Guests can conclude their days with a night-cap or dinner at The Terrace, which is located in the Great House. Live and local entertainment is available nightly during the winter season and several times a week during spring, summer and fall in The Lounge, which offers a light fare menu.

Children are pampered at the Buccaneer too, with everything from a game room to specially designed kids activities. A daily kids camp allows young travelers ages 4-12 to gain independence from their parents in a controlled environment, and connecting bedrooms for youngsters to their parents prevents close quarters from becoming a burden. Dining at Buccaneer

At the Buccaneer, breakfast can be as light as a plate of fruit or as substantial as hearty banana pancakes. The Terrace is the open-air dining option that provides gorgeous views of the Harbor, open for breakfast and dinner. Having won the Wine Spectator Award, this is a guaranteed quality option. For those who wish to enjoy dinner here, reservations are required. The Mermaid serves beach side lunch featuring fresh salads, seafood, burgers, daily specials, and more. You can also order refreshing frozen or vintage cocktails at their bar. They are open for dinner seasonally. The new Beauregard’s on the Beach features a thatched roof and mahogany table tops, giving it a comfortable and casual but incredibly chic appearance as well as a relaxed, intimate atmosphere at the Grotto Beach. The restaurant offers small bites, salads, sandwiches and a kid’s menu for guests 12 and under. Highlights of the lunch menu include the Crispy Mahi Mahi Fish Bites, which are served with a sweet coconut pepper sauce; Local Lobster Sliders, Caribbean Jerk Chicken Salad, accompanied by a mango vinaigrette; and an array of burgers. You might also enjoy their beach front eatery, , offering a casual setting with delicious cocktails and small bites to eat. Lobster sliders, jerk chicken, and many burger options can be enjoyed right by the water. The Buccaneer is family friendly and children's menus are available at all of their top rated St. Croix restaurants.
