Located in East End, fairly close to Cotton Valley, Turner Hole is on the East edge of St. Croix. You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying very close.

How to Access The Beach

To getto Turner Hole, take Route 60 on the South Shore from Rote 82. Turn on the dirt road just after Grapetree Beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Turner Hole offers a straight, long stretch of soft tan sand, and deep green waters. The beach is backed by lush, green trees, and even has a picnic area.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.

The beach is wonderful, but the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too. Look for it on the East coast of St. Croix. Divi Carina Bay Casino is seen a couple hundred yards to the west, and it is one of a number of attractions in the region.

If you want to mix a little culture with your trip to the beach, you should consider a trip to Steeple Building. This museum is located six and a half miles away, giving you a chance to see, and learn about, even more of the area.

Turner Hole is close to Christiansted, so you can explore the city after your visit to the beach. The nearby town of Christiansted is noted for its balance between seclusion and urbanization. From the beach, Christiansted isn't out of reach at six and a half miles (ten and a half kilometers) away.


The popularity of this spot on any given day can vary, it depends on many factors: the time of sundown, happy hour, even how full nearby hotel rooms are. At this beach, you can expect to see a fair amount of visitors from lodgings in the area.

You might also want to visit Reef Beach, located within a couple of miles. Reef Beach opens into Teague Bay on the east end of St. Croix and is popular with windsurfers and guests who come out for the pristine beach and colorful bar.

Turner Hole could be the ideal stretch of sand, but it is possible that it may not be the best choice for your family; if so, the Virgin Islands offers a variety of beaches for travelers who wish to try elsewhere.
