Wacho Beach

Located in rural St. Croix just outside of the major tourism centers, Wacho Beach is a fine choice for anyone looking for the quintessential tropical beach without the crowds or city-views.

Situated in Bamboo, 2.8 miles south of downtown Christiansted, Wacho Beach is on the Southeast coast of St. Croix. You might think about stopping by even if you are not staying particularly close by.

How to Access The Beach
Drivers will find easy access to the beach and plenty of parking. You will need to get to Southside Road, as the beach is on the other side of that. If you can get on the main road that runs through Catherine's Rest, do so, as it ends at the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

The arching beach changes angles three times throughout its length, creating what is like four different beaches independent of each other. However, all parts of Wacho Beach are lined with a row of vegetation and enclosed by two rocky points. The beach itself though has soft warm sand and features clear calm water.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. The water in the area is of good snorkeling quality, so grab your equipment if you've been hoping to get in some underwater exploration.

If you tend to prefer beach days that offer those who visit an idyllic enclave, then maybe head on over to Wacho Beach; it's tucked away within a less urbanized sector of the region.
