Committed to the preservation of the local landscape, this is one of the top eco-friendly places to stay on the island. Guests have the chance to rough it at this campsite, with various styles of camping sites available based on how close to nature you want to stay.

Along with being located in the midst of one of the widest arrays of of outdoor possibilities in the Caribbean, Cinnamon Bay is a terrific choice for guests who like trying new foods. Once your afternoon on the water has come to a close, explore your dining options, including the on-site T'ree Lizards Restaurant and the nearby Chateau Bordeaux Restaurant, which serve American and Caribbean food respectively.

Situated on the northern part of the island of St. John, 3.0 miles northeast of downtown Cruz Bay, Cinnamon Bay Campground happily welcomes vacationers wanting to stay on this beautiful island. If you're wondering, the center of Coral Bay is two and a half miles (four and a half kilometers) to the east.


Sites are available on a first come, first served basis, allowing guests to choose exactly which plot they feel most comfortable with during their stay. No matter your choice, you'll have easy access to bathrooms and showers.

For the "ultimate camping experience" reserve a baresite, where all you get is a picnic table and a charcoal grill on plot of land and you're in charge of the rest. You can fit one large or two small tents on a baresite here.

Your next option is to rent a tent site which is already set up and ready for you to climb in and get comfortable. Each tent is 10 by 14 feet and have not only a solid floor, but cots for sleeping on and mosquito netting. Sites feature a picnic table, propane gas stove, charcoal grill, gas lantern, water container, storage bin cooking utensils and eating utensils.

For the ultimate camping experience, rent out a cottage, which is a screen lined cabin that is 15 by 15 feet and has four twin-sied beds electricity, and all the amenities of a tent site.

Note that the campgrounds have a quite time from between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and non-registered guests many not be on-site after 9:00 p.m.
