Jumbie Beach

This is a tiny little beach with some great snorkeling and beautiful sights all around. Jumbie Beach is out of the way, undeveloped, and is great if you are looking for privacy or just some peace and quiet. Some locals say that the beach is haunted, but that might just be to keep this hidden gem a secret.

Located just outside the heart of the island of St. John, 2.0 miles northeast of downtown Cruz Bay, Jumbie Beach is on the North coast of the island, You should consider stopping by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. The beaches in the Virgin Islands aren't usually known for their peace and quiet, however, Jumbie Beach is tamer than most, making it a good pick for those of you who don't want to wander too far away, but would rather avoid the most hectic parts of town.

How to Access The Beach
At the western edge of Trunk Bay off North Shore Road there is a small red sign marking the road to Jumbie Beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Fortunately, the water here is clear and good for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you're looking to see what goes on beneath the surface.

Since Jumbie Beach can be found inside an area popular for visitors., many try to show up early.
