Oppenheimer Beach

Named for the Father of the Atomic Bomb, this tiny beach is a nice choice for those looking to get away from the crowds. It is a locals beach, and has been spared tourism popularity. Just note that this beach can be rented out to groups, so there is a chance that it will be closed to the public.

Positioned on the island of St. John, near downtown Cruz Bay, Oppenheimer Beach is on the North coast of the island, You should think about stopping by even if you are not staying nearby. How to Access The Beach
The beach is located just off North Shore Road between Hawksnest Bay and Trunk Bay. There is a small parking lot just off the main road, but it can only fit three or four cars at once. It is easy to miss Oppenheimer Beach, so keep an eye out.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. You will find the water here is of good snorkeling quality, so grab some gear if you want to see the underwater world.
